My Stasis Box

I created my tumblr so I could find all the things I love in one place. I'm a fan of Dreamworks, HTTYD, Disney, Doctor Who (RTD era), Supernatural, OUAT, Grimm, and tons more. I love to read. The Wheel of Time is my favorite series but Brandon Sanderson is my favorite author. I draw but I have not uploaded anything online and I probably wont anytime soon. That's all for now... :3

Google has had some stunning logos over the years, but this one is a showstopper.

I really really love this.

anybody else think of avatar?

Long ago, the websites lived together in harmony…
Then everything changed when Windows Vista attacked!

Only Google, Master of All Search Engines could stop it.
But when the internet needed it most, Google vanished.

Years passed, and a new Search Engine was discovered, a Search Engine named Bing.
And Bing couldn’t search for shit. Everyone died.

And Bing couldn’t search for shit. Everyone died.

Everyone tells you to “love yourself”, but no one tells you about the war you have will have to fight. Loving yourself is a choice. It’s a daily choice to look into the mirror with love, kindness and acceptance instead of fear and hate. The world will try to trip you up constantly, telling you that happiness only exists at a certain size or weight. It doesn’t. Your happiness and your health depend on each other, but no one can see those things just by looking at you. No one knows where you are in your journey, how far you’ve come or how far you’re going. Loving yourself isn’t a destination. It is a road you try to navigate your entire life. And wherever you are on that road, your compass only works when you can look at yourself in the mirror and see that your body is a good body. It is a worthy body. There is no number that will make you feel or believe that. The love you give yourself now is the only love you will have at the end of the road.
P.S. People who love their bodies, their lives, their relationships, don’t hate on others’. If you know love and happiness, that’s what you put out in the world. The only thing hateful comments tell you is how much that person is hurting. #bootyrevolution #effyourbeautystandards #honormycurves

I’m sorry but if you try to tell me there are only three wizard schools in the ENTIRE magical world I will fight you.

I wanna see Indian wizardry schools

Japanese magic schools where the house ghosts have shrines

Schools hidden in sand dunes and enchanted to look like mirages

American schools hidden in Roswell and Salem

Public magical schools for kids that don’t want to leave home for seven years

GIVE ME ALL THE WIZARD SCHOOL HEAD CANONS!

And then there’s good ol’ America

This actually makes me so angry. The truth is right here and people see it and brush it aside. We really could make things better. But no, America apparently wants to suck forever.

You know, America, if we spent some money investing in education instead of making sure the ultra-rich were even more ultra-rich, we could *actually* be the exceptional nation that we pretend to be.

SO IMPORTANT

In England we have roughly 30 students per class.

fuckyeahcillessen
is this actually true omg

10 year old Yemeni girl smiling after she was granted a divorce from her husband- a 30 year old man
Here’s what I found after looking into it.
Nujood Ali was nine when her parents arranged a marriage to Faez Ali Thamer, a man in his thirties. Regularly beaten by her in-laws and raped by her husband, Ali escaped on April 2, 2008, two months after the wedding.
On the advice of her father’s second wife, she went directly to court to seek a divorce. After waiting for half a day, she was noticed by a judge, Mohammed al-għadha who gave her refuge. He had both her father and husband taken into custody.
Indeed, publicity surrounding Ali’s case is said to have inspired efforts to annul other child marriages, including that of an 8 year old Saudi girl who was allowed to divorce a middle-aged man in 2009.
But in 2013 Ali reported to the media that her father had forced her out of their home and is withholding her money granted by publishers. Her father has also arranged a marriage for her younger sister, Haifa.
Also this girl has her own book

I just want some feminists to focus more on this than on defending Zoe Quinn and Anita Sarkeesian.

Realistically, what can they do? Most of the feminists that you likely encounter are based in USA, Canada, maybe UK. What can they do to affect attitudes and policies in a place like Yemen?

They can raise awareness. Tumblr is a global site where you can donate to people in many countries to aid them. A very good thing they can do, for one, is set up donations for this kid or other kids. They can put efforts to start up shelters for such incidents. There’s a lot of things western feminists can do. This post only has almost 9k posts, whereas a post about male tears has 36K.
